Lesson6 How’s the Weather in Ellia?
1.Words and phrases:
those clouds, in a minute, a drop of rain, in the rain，in the spring
2.Sentences: It’s going to be fine in a minute.
I felt a drop of rain.
It’s not raining very hard.
Tino likes to play in the rain.
How’s the weather in Ellia?
It’s warm and dry in the spring.
教材分析 本节课是在已经学习四季的基础上，继续深入学习表达季节天气特征的句子。进一步学习句型 “How’s the weather in +地点？”灵活运用本课出现的表达雨前，雨中，雨后的几个英语句子。即：It’s going to be fine. I felt a drop of rain. It’s not raining very hard. etc.
学情分析 本次教学面临的教学对象是五年级学生，五年级学生经过近三年的英语学习，已经有了一定的英语知识基础和技能，他们能准确理解教师简单的课堂用语，自主学习能力也有了较大的提高。我将本课句型“How’s the weather in +地点？”以图文并茂的方式让学生自由交流讨论，以达到在掌握新的语言知识的同时进一步提高学生的交际能力。以电子课件的形式出现雨中的情景，激发学生的学习兴趣，使学生在真实的语言环境中学习和掌握表达雨中情景的句子。
教学目标
知识目标：练习天气的表达方式
1、让学生掌握表达天气特征的各种句子。
2、灵活运用句型“How’s the weather in+地点？”
能力目标：1、提高学生听、说、读、写的能力。
2、培养学生自主探知的能力。
情感目标：1、激发学生学习英语兴趣。
2、培养学生热爱家乡，热爱祖国，热爱大自然的情感。
教学重点
Look at those clouds. It’s going to be fine. I felt a drop of rain.
Go out to meet. in a minute. How’s the weather in + 地点？

1. Greetings: Say hello to students.
2. Show the students some pictures and ask Ss to guess the seasons.
3.Ask: How’s the weather in spring/summer/winter/fall?

教师和学生相互问好，通过图片复习四季，让学生猜出四季天气，进而引出课题。

讲授新知
|
1.Show the title: How’s the weather in Ellia ?
2.Show pictures to students. Ask Ss to answer : It’s warm and dry.
3.Ask: How’s the weather in Harbin?
4. Talk freely ( Ask Ss to talk about the weather of Xinjiang and Guangdong.)
5. Look at the pictures and listen to the tape.(About P74).
6.Research a rainy day (Look at computer)
1).Show picture 1 and picture 2 in the book..(Teach: cloud and go out to meet.)
2).Look at some pictures on the computer. Learn some new sentences.
a: Show a picture of clouds. (Teach: Look at those clouds.It’s going to rain in a minute.)
b: Learn : I felt a drop of rain.(T act .Ss express)
c: Show a picture of raining. It’s raining now. It’s not raining very hard..
d: Show a picture: Tino likes to play in the rain.(T ask : Do you like to play in the rain? Ss answer.)

通过单词dry 和 wet的图片展示，加深学生对单词的掌握。
此处为知识的拓展延伸，训练学生能够自由的说出各处天气情况，学生自由讨论，小组竞赛演说，激发学生兴趣，同时能达到练习口语的目地.
让学生带着问题听录音，唤起学生的注意力，为后面的学习过程做出铺垫。
把句子和单词一起教，体现词不离句，句不离词的原则。
通过看课件雨中场景，让学生有身临其境的感觉，使学生整体感知学习内容。

利用课件教授学生新知识，这样能深深吸引学生的注意力。在讲解过程中，学生经过反复操练，掌握了新知识。但在教授单词时学生可能会感到枯燥，因此我尽量采用多种教学方法来激发学生的学习兴趣，更好地完成本节课的教学任务。

巩固操练

1. Play a game. “Mouth the words.”
Ss choose the cards of the words.( those clouds. in a minute. a drop of rain.)
2. Ask Ss to read the dialogue on page 74.
3.Ask Ss to role play the dialogue.
4.Summary: cloud—rain—fine.
Ask Ss to describe these pictures simply.

以游戏形式让大部分学生都掌握重点短语，并由学生选择与自己所听到的短语一致的卡片贴到黑板上,使学生在愉快的气氛中掌握好单词。
以争红旗夺擂主的方式激发起学生学习动力，培养他们的合作能力。
看图描述情景,操练本课重点句型。

用传话游戏会激发学生的学习兴趣，但可能学生不完全掌握游戏规则，需要教师正确引导。
学生有很强的表演欲望，在分角色表演中，他们会积极配合，为小组争夺红旗，课堂气氛会很热烈。
