The reading material is focused on travel diary and the functional items are narration and description . It’s helpful to improve students’ reading and writing ability.

(1)Knowledge objects 
a. Enable the students to master the new words and phrases:
    water, cry, corner, make, feel, walk, back, decide, wall, palace, square, have fun doing, find sb.doing, be lost, make sb. Do, decide to do
b. Get the Ss to be more familiar with the sentence patterns:
It was ---, I went to---/visited--- I was ---
(2)Ability objects   
a. Enable the students to make a dialogue about traveling.
b. Develop the students’ reading ability about a diary, and let them know how many parts there are in a diary.
c. After reading and analyzing the diary, enable the students to write a similar diary.
(3)Moral objects 
a. Arouse the studen
