PRESENTATION:
Today we will study the grammar of lesson 1. After studying the grammar, we will do and check the exercises of the text. Now, please turn to page 6. 
TEACHING: 
Step 1   Special difficulties.
1. the Johnsons 
在姓氏（复数）前加定冠词（the）表示感谢“某一家人”
The Sawyers live at 87 King Street.
The Richards usually watch television at night.
2. While & When 当…的时候
两词一般情况下可换用，但以下两种用法比较有独特性。
 While 多用来引导两个同时进行的行为动作，即在“A+while+B”的句型中，A和B同时发生。
While her husband is at work and her children are at school, she does the housework.
 When 多用来表达动作发生的突然性， 即在“A+when+B”的句型中，A正在进行中，B突然发生了，或B正在进行中，A突然发生了。
Jeff cut himself when he opened a bottle of wine.
3. Do+V-ing  做某件事
“do +some/the +V-ing ” 表示在某个特定的时间内重复做某事。在v-ing 前可加限定词，如，the ,my , some, much等。
Mrs. Jones did some sewing before going to bed.
She usually does the washing and ironing on Mondays.
Step2   Structure & Grammar
I. 一般现在时与时间频度副词→The Simple Present and Frequency Adverbs
1．一般现在时是用来表达式一个习惯动作、有规律的行为以及永恒的现象。它一般与时间频度副词和时间短语连用。
时间频度副词：often, usually, always, sometimes, never, frequently, rarely, seldom, hardly ever;
时间短语: every day/year/month/week; in the morning/afternoon/evening/night; at noon/evening/night
The children go to school in the morning.(有规律的行为)
We usually watch TV at evening.(习惯动作)
2． 第三人称单数的谓语动词必须变位：
 直接加“s”
make→makes    shave→ shaves     listen→  listens
 以-sh, -ch, -o 以及-s结尾的动词则加“es”
wash→ washes     watch→ watches   go→ goes
miss→ misses
 以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词，把y 改成i，再加上“es”; “元音字母（a,e, i, o, u）+y” 结尾的动词，只 “s”即可。
hurry→ hurries  carry → carries   
3．时间频度副词与一般现在时连用时，它们的位置比较有规律。这些副词通常位于：
 系动词is/am/are之后。
It is always warm in September and Octorber.
 行为动词之前。
She always eats her lunch in the classroom..
