Lesson 3 Fun Reading and Writing
Teaching Aims:
1. Knowledge Aims:
(1) Most of students can read passage containing the target language for enjoyment and comprehension.
(2) Do activities, such as writing, based on the reading passage.
2. Ability Aims:
(1) Students can use some reading skills while reading.
(2) Interested in reading English passage.
3. Affective Aims:
Encourage student to save resource, such as food, water.

Step 1 Pre-reading
1. Greetings.
2. Sing the song on Page 88.
( 通过亲切的打招呼和唱歌,一方面激发学生的学习兴趣,营造民主,和谐,互动的课堂氛围;另一方面复习了旧知,激发了学生已有的知识和技能。)
3. Presentation
(1) Present the four words and Introduce the usage and difference by ask and answer. eg. How much is the flour? It’s 2yuan a kilo. How much are the beans? They’re 3 yuan a kilo.
(2)Talk about the price with partner by using the sentence patterns:
(在读前部分复习可数和不可数名词的价格问答法,要求学生回到真实的生活中去谈谈价格,创设真实的生活情境,更容易学生的兴趣,并且也自然地为本课的语言点做好铺垫。通过读前部分,学生大致了解了可数和不可数名词的价格问答的用法,并可以简单进行回答,为后面的阅读做好准备。)

Step 2 While-reading
1. Skimming (Read quickly):. Two very simple questions for them. Then check the answer. Question1:Where are Bobo and Dongdong? Question 2: What are they doing?
2. Scanning (Read quickly) Second reading. Open your books. Read quietly. Circle the answers on your book. Four questions for them. Then check the answers.
3. Third reading. Read again. Discuss with your partner and finish Part C. Then check the answers.
(通过三次分层次阅读让学生逐步了解课文内容,并通过完成难度逐步加大的任务让学生加深对课文的理解。)
Step 3 Post-reading
1. Give students a task about shopping. Then ask them try to describe their need, and write about it.
(在原文的基础上进行拓展性的活动,小组合作开展讨论,说说六一儿童节制作蛋糕需要买些什么,两人一组购物
2. Affective education. Don’t waste but save resource. “光盘行动”
(情感教育是每节课中必不可少的内容,结合本课内容,渗透的是珍惜粮食,拒绝浪费的情感教育)
Step4 Homework
Requirement
Listen to the tape and read the passage aloud after class.
Optional
Design your shopping list and talk about it. Then write down.
(课后作业的必做和选作项体现了对不同层次学生的分层要求。)
