UNIT THREE Who’s that?
新课标体现:
本单元主要是要求学生掌握在日常生活中如何运用那是谁,这是谁的问答。能够做一些简单的问答对话。这些对话对提高学生日常交际能力有很大帮助。
Teaching Aims:
Knowledge:
1、 Listening:
能听懂询问物品名子等的对话;指出图,同学们可以说出它的在英文中的单词。
2、 Speaking:
能在适当的语境打招呼;问他人是谁;能在教师设计的语境中运用本单元所学功能句,及应答进行会话。
3、 Reading:
能正确、流利的朗读课文对话及LOOK AND SAY中的对话;能正确读出图中物品的名字。
4、 Writing:
能正确、规范地写本单元要求掌握的字母。
情感态度:
1. 学生在课文学习中,体会如何关心他人。
2. 能正确运用英语询问他人或者接受自己。
过程方法:
1、利用现有的电教设备资源,使学生可以更加直观的对所要学习的内容有整体了解,并且可以培养学生良好的发音习惯,为以后的学习打下基础。
2、在教授对话的同时,把单词或重点句型出示给学生,这样可以使学生更方便于学习,掌握,和运用。
3、在教学时多采取同学之间互相帮助的功能,可以加深同学之间的感情,还可以帮助班主任更好的完成思想道德教育工作。

2、重点词汇: jeep,kite,lemon,moon,noodles

UNIT THREE


Who’s that
Lesson one (10-6)

Teaching Aims:
4、 The students can be understand the dialogue.
5、 The students like to learn English.
6、 The students can be read the dialogue.
Teaching Emphasis:
1. Review: How can use “What’s your name?” in dialogue. And answer it. How can use “This is…. This isn’t….”
Teaching Difficulty:
How can use “who’s that?” ”that’s…” in dialogue.
Teaching Medium:
Step 1:
T: Introduce Tommy to the students.(or make student to ask his name.)
S: say “hello” to him. And then use “this is” to introduce Tommy.
Step 2:
T: Hold up mask of Mocky, Ken, Ann, Uncle Booky and say, “This is our friends. Please say hello to them.”
S: Do it.
T: I have a question(take out Tommy’s mask):who’s that?
S: Make the students to say: that’s
Step 3:
Open the books.
T: Ask these questions about the pictures:
Picture 1:How many children are in the playground?(four)
What are they doing?(playing football)
What do you think they are talking about?
Picture 2: Where is mocky?(on the tree.)
Picture 3/4/5: What is mocky doing?(jumping down from the tree.)
What happens next?(to catch the football.)
Picture 8: What is Moncky doing(jumping up)?
Picture 9: What happen to Moncky ?(fell to the ground)
Picture 10: What did he say?(I’m Ok.)
Step 5:
Story: The students read after the tape.
Explain that people often say“poor” ”ouch” “join us”
Step 6:
Homework:
Explain that you want the class to tell their families about the new characters, Cathy and Tommy.


Lesson two(10-8)

Teaching Aims:
1、 use sentence of “this is”,“that is”
2、 know the different between this two sentence.
Teaching Emphasis:
How to use “this is” and “that is”
Teaching Difficulty:
different between two sentence. (this is/that is)
Teaching process:
Step1
T: give one child mocky’s mask, make him to go away from the teacher. Say:“that is mocky.” Give a close student ken’s mask and say: “this is ken.” And tell them the differents.
S: practice this two sentence.
T: take other picture to have practice.
S: do it.
Step2
T: take out Ann, Tommy, Cathy, Wangling and Peter’s mask.
S:say their name.
T: Ask students: where are they from.
S: answer and listen.
T: invite five students to act this dialogue.
Step3
Listen and number
T: first time: just listen, second time: number the picture. Third time: check the answer.
S: do it.
Step4: learn song


Lesson three(10-10)

Teaching Aims:
1、 Say the dialogues explain the mind.
2、can read the new words and know the letters.
Teaching Emphasis:
Review: How can use “that’s?”in life. And answer it.
Teaching Difficulty:
How can use“who’s this?” 、“who’s that”、“This is/ isn’t….” “That is….” in life.
Teaching process:
Step 1:
Introduce mask by the sentence“that is”
Step 2:
Student book page 30:
Say to the children: “Open your books.”
T: ask: who can you see from the picture/what are they talking?
S: answer: either in English or Chinese.
Listen to the tape and repeat.
Step 3:
Listen and number:
T: Display the page.
Point to the picture 1. ask: which national flags
S: Have the children repeat the words as they point to the picture in their books.
T: play the tape. Touch the correct picture as you hear the words.
S: Explain that you want them to write the number of the sentence in the box beside each picture as they listen to the tape.
Step 4:
Review the second letter: a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i.
Learn the new letter: j,k,l,m,n
Replay the tape, and have the children point to the matching pictures in their book.
S: replay the tape and have the children say the word aloud.
Step 5:
Repeat the procedure that was used to introduce the letter Jj and jeep.
Step 6:
Homework:
Have the children open their books at page 31. Explain that you want them to :
Color all the letters in different colors.
Lesson four (10-13)

Teaching Aims:
1、know the words, students can read and write letter j、k、l、m、n.
2、Keep the students like to learn English.
3、The students can use the sentence “this is ”to introduce their friends. Can ask “who’that”、 answer“that’s”
Teaching Emphasis:
1、Review: How can use “who’that”in life. And answer it.
2、Emphasis sentence: This is…. This isn’t…. That’s
3、learn and write the letters.
Teaching Difficulty:
How can use “who’that” “That’s” in life.
Teaching process:
Step1:
T: Say,“look at the video write the letter J”computer write the letters.
S: The students write the letter in the air with the video. Teacher also do it.
Repeat for the small letter “j”.
Follow the same procedure for Kk 、Ll、 Mm、Nn.
Step 2:
S: Draw the children’s attention to the pictures at the bottom half of the page.
T: Play the video. The children repeat the word and point to its beginning letter.
Without the tape , have the children point to each picture in turn and say the beginning sound.
S: Make it. Say the word cards one by one. Point to it’s beginning letters.
Step 3:
T: Thouch and say: review:
Use the mask of mocky and say: this is mocky, and then say the sentence “this is Ann. This isn’t wang ling.”
S: Make it.
Step 4:
T: Have the children open their books at the top of page 33.
Model the structures by reading, who’s this? This is / Who’s that. That’s
Draw the children’s attention to the bottom part of the page. Write the sentence on the blackboard, important: who’s=who is. /that’s = that is .If time allows, children could repeat the activity in pairs or small groups.
Step 5:
Homework:
Student book page 32
Have the children trace over the letters beside the pictures. They can finish the exercise for homework.
Remind the class to do the homework: write letter “Jj、Kk、Ll、Mm、Nn”in their exercise book one for four times.


Lesson five (10-20)

Teaching Aims:
1、Students can read and write the letters.
2、Keep the students like to learn English.
3、The students can use the sentence “this is ”、“that is” in their life.
Teaching Emphasis:
1、How can use “who’s this”in life. And answer it.
2、Emphasis sentence: That’s…. this is….
3、learn and write the letters.
Teaching Difficulty:
How can use“who’s this?” “This is….” “who’s that”、“that’s” in life.
Teaching process:
Step1: T: ask the students to open book turn to page 34, point to the three sentence beside the first picture. Tell them one sentence is correct and read for them. Ask them if it correct.
S: do it.(find out right sentence.)
T: use the word cards to help the students learn the words:“kite、hand、moon、 jacket、lemon.” Then read the chant.
S: listen and point to each picture. Then read it.
T: review the sentence “this is”、“that is”
Step5: homework:
Color the pictures of 34. use the sentence“that is”、“this is”


Lesson six (10-23)

Teaching Aims:
1. Use the sentence is very expertly and read the dialogue.
2. The students like to learn English.
3. The students can be very expertly use This is. That’s. Read words, write letters.
Teaching Emphasis:
1. The letters.
2. Emphasis sentence:“ who’s that That is…. This is….” very expertly in life.
Teaching Difficulty:
How can use “who’s that; that is ”to introduce friends.
Teaching process:
Step 1:
Review:
Letters(fire、help、kite、deer),sentences(who’s that;that’s)
Step 2:
Uncle Booky’s storytime:

T: 1. Make a scene: we are going to listen to a story.
2. Pla y the tape. Ask the children to listen to the story with their books closed.
S: listen to the tape.
T: Ask the children open their books and look at pictures.
S: Guessing the meaning of the words. Read after the tape.
T and S:
Divide some roles for this story and do it.
Step 3:
Introductions:
Give the mask far away the classroom:
T: Have the students to introduce the mask use “who’s that?”
S: one ask, one answer.
